The race to become the best conversational artificial intelligence software has begun. Companies like OpenAI & Microsoft, Google, and others have been working on it for some years, but OpenaAI has been ahead of them by making its software public, and this is causing “ “red alerts” in companies to step on the accelerator in everything related to AI. At Madata, we tell you what is happening in the digital transformation of conversational AIs and where we believe it can be headed.

ChatGPT and Microsoft: Their Commitment to AI

On November 30, 2022, OpenAI showed the world its conversational artificial intelligence called ChapGPT. By December 4 alone, it was estimated that it had more than a million users. It has gone viral so much that they are comparing it to the launch of the iPhone in 2007. Could it be?

The story begins in 2019 when Microsoft, the company co-founded by Bill Gates, invested $1 billion in OpenAl, the company co-founded by Elon Musk and Sam Altman. The sole purpose of this investment was to investigate and discover the scope of Artificial Intelligence and democratize AI as a new technological platform. Now, Microsoft has announced the third phase of its long-term partnership, with a $10 billion investment.

New Bing: AI-Powered Conversational Chatbot

Microsoft's large investment is not surprising since upon making the $10 billion investment effective, Microsoft's participation in OpenAI will be 49%.

Microsoft is practically going all out to win the race for the best AI conversational chat software. And so far Bing is far below as a search engine, according to Statcounter GllbarSats, Google is positioned with 92% of searches by January 2023.

So what does Microsoft have to lose by going ahead with the launch of the new integration of its search engine with AI, even though it may have flaws? Nothing; compared to Google, nothing can lose a lot, which is why they are advancing the issue with great caution.

The desktop version of Bing has been available since February 7. The company mentioned that "any user will be able to try a limited number of questions and also register to start today to gain full access to these features." The mobile version will be available in the coming weeks.

Google Bard: ChatGPT's Competition

Although Google has most of the market in its search engine, integrating AI in conversational chatbots will alter the entire user experience with what they want to search for.

ChatGPT has gone viral thanks to its ability to answer almost any question, but in such a human way that it is not easy to identify the difference between a bot and a human since it has the ability to write essays, reports, and even ideas on how to explain a complex topic to a 10-year-old child.

This caused the search giant to focus all its efforts on launching its software (to mention the layoff of more than 10,000 people in recent days) based on LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications), which is an experimental language model designed by Google. specifically for dialog applications.

Bard is not yet available, but the company tells us that in the next month, we will be able to start using its beta version. This version will have the objective of answering (not all) questions and recording the history of user behavior to feed the information that receives AI and thus learn and develop your skills.

What Can We Expect from this AI Revolution in Companies?

Google has also integrated ChatGPT into Google Teams, which will allow users to generate automated notes, recommend tasks, and create meeting templates.

Can we open our ERP system and dictate, “SAP, send a results report for the month of January to the director, emphasize the achievements compared to the same month last year?”

Or something like: “SAP, I want to increase performance on production line A2 in plant 2. What can I do to achieve a 20% increase?”

Or perhaps include the marketing and sales area: “HubSpot, what marketing and sales strategy can you apply to leads that go to MQL and reach SQL but do not become opportunities? Divide strategies by business line.

Artificial intelligence's scope in ERP and CRM systems will grow by leaps and bounds, automation, voice dictation, and real-time results, and everything will improve.
