As part of its technological roadmap GCC has undertaken the migration of its SAP systems to the newest version of its ERP, S4Hana. As part of this macro project, the migration of SAP BW 7.0 with Oracle database to the BW/4 HANA system was performed, which includes the change of both the database and the new system.
An ERP was implemented for the operation of the Food division, as well as for the financial consolidation of the group in a single system. This was carried out during 8 months, and work was done on the connection with the different systems such as the point of sale of the stores, ERP of Alchisa and ERP of Dimanor.
Since the Group made the decision to implement SAP, it began with interviews at the management level to understand, define and limit expectations related to the implementation of the ERP. Once the expectations were defined, the initial dimensioning of the potential modules to be implemented was carried out, while personnel were interviewed to select the people with the necessary qualities and skills to be the key users during the project.
Healthy Beverage and C2O had their own operation in different ERPs. Novamex saw the need to integrate the operations of these companies into its current Epicor 10. This represents economies of scale in the operation of these companies. The project was completed on time and Novamex's current staff is now able to manage their backoffice operation of the companies above-mentioned companies.
Change of server architecture to x86 and upgrade from SAP to EhP 4 with migration of operating system to Linux
This was a total change in the company's architecture with the aim of starting its journey towards digital transformation as it had been working with a robust, but difficult to manage, inflexible architecture and with an outdated SAP ERP system that was not prepared for the company's growth.
